About the Author

Dennis C. Daley, PhD. is Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Chief Drug and Alcohol Services, and Director of the Center for Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency Services at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has been involved in the addictions and mental health fields for over two decades. Dr. Daley is also involved in several research projects sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and National Institute of Alcohol Abuse. He is a consultant to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Employee Assistance Program, the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department and two federally funded research projects at Harvard Medical School and Spalding University. He has also consulted with numerous treatment programs in the U.S. and Europe and presented workshops in over 30 states, Canada and Europe.
